Shutesbury, MA is known for its rural character and preservation efforts due to its
proximity to the Quabbin Reservoir and for its historical significance as a lumbering
town with some lumbering interests still retained. Have a nice stroll starting at Lake
Wyola to a lovely pond called Fiske Pond Trail. Houston Gage Trail, off Sand Hill Road
is an easy 1.55 mile loop with water features and some lovely views.
